We, Matsushima Memoryland, suggest the new sense of values for gravestones.
We are very pleased to present you a new serie by collaboration with a Japanese young artist.
Please have a look at splendid poetic artworks of Hiromasa Abe, a promising sculptor in Italy, the best place of marble.

2001. joined in sculpture exhibition of STAGGIO STAGI, national organization in Italy
2004. one-man exhibition at chapel of villa of former Medici in Seravezza, Italy
2004. one-man exhibition at gallery Okabe, Ginza, Tokyo
2004. started the project with Matsushima Memoryland
He had many exhibitions in Italy and Japan thus far.
And now he is said as a promising young sculptor and is widely noticed in the world.

I set the lead slant to make space for having a conversation with the deceased, and make separated from other spaces.
It is because that I wish people to talk to the deceased in graceful silent
To welcome the people who visit grave widely, I set the frontage maximum large and set lead straight.
The main body that whirls in white expresses the soul that rises to the heaven and body that sleeps on ground, divided by the boundary of the specular.
The main body was made from the image that united two shape by a white marble with warmth, and that united with the heart of the deceased.
This is the wish that people find an important person inside oneself.
The soft curved outside hedge expands and wraps me and the main body that was the symbol of the deceased.
One edge expands to the heaven, and the person who visit can touch an another edge.
The main body that expands from the part of laying the ashes of the dead is a direct place to where the deceased exists.
By making the window there, it is devised to make the deceased shine and let the people who visit feel the inside familiar.
Two marbles that expand from separate plinths stand close.
Please look up it while thinking of an important person.
And I would like you to feel preciousness of the matching of hands.
